This book is a sweet look at two families that have been devastated by loss and betrayal Summers deftly weaves the plot between the main three women of the story, along with a couple of the guys, too She did a good job of transitioning from each person s point of view and story arc without annoying the reader by switching on horrible cliffies at the end of chapters or switching too often No character hopping whiplash but still enticing enough to keep me wanting to eagerly turn the pages.Overall, this novel evokes all the warm fuzzies and a few tears that makes this a great, feel good beach read something I desperately needed with all the stress of dealing with the Covid 19 scare Highly recommend

Welcome to Pacan Valley indeed 5 5 stars from me Accidentally Family is a story that manages to revolve around many issues through multiple characters without sacrificing their individuality They feel like real people in a real town and I usually don t cry when reading a book, but there is definitely a scene between two characters that comes together toward the end that made me tear up I rooted for Felicity and Graham the moment they set foot on the page I felt deeply for the teenagers in the story who struggle with loss, self worth, and new love I fell in love with Felicity s sister and followed along with her secret problems as obsessively as if she was my own sister This novel is so beautifully written from the heart It was heart wrenching but it was also hopeful With a fictional world full of very real problems, Sasha Summers writes for the voices of those who feel alone It was hard not to really feel like a part of this fractured family who find light in each other, and I m glad I got the chance to read this book before it s release If you like Susan Wiggs novels like Table for Five , you will love this book

This was a touching story about a rather saintly woman, Felicity, whose husband left her for a younger woman She s raising her teenage children when she suddenly has to take in the injured toddler son of her ex husband Meanwhile, her husband s former best friend, Graham, is having trouble coping with his troubled daughter after his wife s death Isn t it lucky that he meets up with Felicity who, on top of all her other challenges, kindly helps out with Graham s daughter. It s a sad story as all the teenagers have a lot to deal with and the two single parents struggle to see if romance can bloom in the wake of tragedy.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
